His initial projects, including the Al Ain Zoo, Al Ain Dairy, multiple chain-link fencing assignments, and a 20,000-labour prefab accommodation for the Dubai Metro project, saw him taking on the complete steel works design, fabrication, and execution.

In 2008, Rahul took the bold step of becoming an entrepreneur by buying out a failing prefab company, burdened by debt and legal issues. Through ingenious solutions, such as settling debts via bartering trade items, he successfully turned around the business, laying the groundwork for what would become Green Prefab.
