Job Opening: Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and oversee the installation of electrical systems and equipment by applying principles of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, ELV, fire alarm, grounding, and lightning protection.
  • Prepare AutoCAD electrical layouts, power layouts, and single line diagrams.
  • Develop load schedules in compliance with DEWA, TAQA, ADDC, SEWA, FEWA, and international standards (IEC, IEEE).
  • Create technical drawings, BOQs, calculations, cable/tray layouts.
  • Review and approve designs to ensure compliance with local and international codes.
  • Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and site inspections.
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure work aligns with approved plans and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance when required.
  • Coordinate projects to meet timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation, as-built drawings, compliance reports, and technical records.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and electrical design software.
  • Strong knowledge of local utility authority standards (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, FEWA, TAQA).
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.

Salary Range: AED 2,500 – 6,000 (depending on experience).
